Build a Knowledge guide
Section titled “Build a Knowledge guide”Use Knowledge for material you want to keep as structured, reusable reference: project guides, procedures, research summaries, documentation, or other information that should be easier to navigate than a pile of scratch notes.
1. Open Knowledge
Section titled “1. Open Knowledge”Open Knowledge from the LM Nexus navigation.
The top of the side panel contains a guide selector.
2. Create a guide
Section titled “2. Create a guide”Choose the Add new guide (+) action.
Give the guide a title and any useful metadata. It will then appear in the Select guide menu.
3. Add sections
Section titled “3. Add sections”Select the guide, then choose Add section.
Give the section a title and add its Markdown content. Knowledge can also create sections from supported file or content inputs.
Repeat this for each reusable topic instead of putting an entire knowledge base into one giant document.
4. Navigate and search
Section titled “4. Navigate and search”The Knowledge sidebar supports:
- guide selection;
- section navigation;
- title search;
- title + content search;
- Favorites;
- reader font-size control;
- read/unread state.
You can reorder and edit sections from the Knowledge UI.
5. Attach a section to Chat
Section titled “5. Attach a section to Chat”A section’s context menu can expose Attach to Chat.
Use this when a conversation needs one specific piece of reference material instead of attaching an entire unrelated knowledge library.
Knowledge versus Notes
Section titled “Knowledge versus Notes”A useful rule of thumb:
- start uncertain/temporary material in Notes;
- move stable, reusable reference into Knowledge.
Notes can also explicitly Promote to Knowledge.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”The result should be a named guide with focused Markdown sections you can search, read, favorite, and attach to Chat when needed.
