Organize notes
Organize notes
Section titled “Organize notes”Use Notes for working material: scratch notes, project notes, todos, drafts, and information you may later attach to Chat or promote into a more structured Knowledge guide.
Create a note
Section titled “Create a note”Open Notes, then use the New Note command.
LM Nexus stores Notes in your user/app-data location and autosaves normal edits.
Find notes quickly
Section titled “Find notes quickly”The Notes side panel includes:
- All notes
- Inbox
- Pinned
- Archive
- Untagged
- Todos
- text search.
Organize with folders
Section titled “Organize with folders”In Folders, choose New folder.
Folder paths can be nested, for example:
Projects/LM-NexusMove a note by dragging it onto a folder or by using the note menu:
Move to Folder…
Removing a folder does not have to delete its notes: notes can be moved back to Unfiled.
Pin, archive, or attach a note
Section titled “Pin, archive, or attach a note”Open a note’s menu to use actions such as:
- Pin / Unpin
- Archive / Unarchive
- Attach to Chat
- Move to Folder…
- Delete
Attach to Chat adds that note to the context for the current conversation when Chat integration is available.
Promote a note to Knowledge
Section titled “Promote a note to Knowledge”When a note stops being scratch material and becomes something you want to reuse as reference, use Promote to Knowledge.
That keeps the distinction useful:
- Notes — working material and capture;
- Knowledge — structured reusable reference.
Save Chat material into Notes
Section titled “Save Chat material into Notes”Chat can also expose Save to Notes for a conversation or supported response flow, giving you a quick route from a useful conversation into editable Markdown.
Expected result
Section titled “Expected result”Your notes stay searchable and separate from Chat history, but you can still attach one to a conversation when it is relevant.
